Chop Chop Inc Walkthrough: From First Axe to Furniture Business

A full progression checklist that joins the first hour, production loop, city work, automation, exploration, and ending routes.

Direct answer

Progress by keeping one complete loop working: chop the wood required by the active objective, process it, craft the named output, deliver it, then spend the reward on the bottleneck or route that unlocks the next objective.

01

Complete the opening axe and timber route

Take the Wooden Axe, cut only the timber needed for the opening objectives, and bring the output into the first processing chain. This establishes the repeatable chop-to-material loop.

02

Process before stockpiling

Turn trunks into the exact wood, beams, planks, or firewood requested by the current recipe. If raw material accumulates, stop chopping and clear the slowest machine.

03

Craft and deliver the named result

Build the mission object or furniture shown in the objective, then complete the handoff or distribution interaction. Similar components and incomplete sets do not count as the finished result.

04

Use rewards to open the next route

After every delivery, check missions, city upgrades, new regions, machine recipes, character upgrades, and named NPCs before starting another large batch.

05

Move from manual work to controlled automation

Automate the most repeated stable step only after measuring where the queue forms. Keep rare materials available for required machines and mission builds.

06

Finish exploration and ending tasks deliberately

Use the map hub for the mine shaft, ice biome, treasure route, secret base, and other world objectives. Treat the Steam achievement notification or changed mission state as the completion signal.

Walkthrough / Stages

Progress phase by phase

1. Opening route

Objective
Establish the first repeatable chop-to-material loop.
Current action
Take the Wooden Axe, follow the active objective, and process only the timber needed for the first build.
Completion signal
The opening objective changes and the next recipe or station becomes usable.
Open stage

2. Material processing

Objective
Turn raw trunks into the exact component required by the current recipe.
Current action
Trace the recipe backward through wood, beams, planks, firewood, and the station that creates each step.
Completion signal
The requested finished material reaches the required quantity without a growing upstream queue.
Open stage

3. Furniture business

Objective
Convert processed materials into a named delivery and city reward.
Current action
Build the requested furniture or set, complete its handoff, then record the money and route that unlocks.
Completion signal
The delivery is accepted and a customer, city, mission, or blueprint route changes.
Open stage

4. Controlled automation

Objective
Remove the measured bottleneck without consuming mission-critical stock.
Current action
Watch one full production cycle, identify the queue, then add capacity or shorten only that stage.
Completion signal
The downstream station stays supplied and the previous queue stops growing.
Open stage

5. World progression

Objective
Open the region or landmark required by the active exploration task.
Current action
Complete the current city or mission gate, revisit changed paths, and use visible landmarks to confirm the route.
Completion signal
The map, objective, interaction, or available resource changes at the destination.
Open stage

6. Ending route

Objective
Clear the remaining main objectives and complete the Furnox sequence.
Current action
Audit unfinished missions, builds, NPC dialogue, recipe pickups, and city gates before following the current Furnox objective.
Completion signal
Steam records Bye Bye Furnox and the final objective is no longer active.
Open stage

Failure branch

The next objective is not appearing

Return to the last visible objective and verify the item type, quantity, destination, and final interaction. Then check whether the route is blocked by a city upgrade, region transition, NPC dialogue, physical blueprint pickup, or machine build rather than more raw materials.

Completion signal

The production and world routes both advance

The walkthrough stage is complete when the current objective changes, its reward is recorded, and at least one new recipe, machine, character, city, or map route becomes usable.
